Chateau Joncasses is a petite and unique 9 bedroomed chateau available for holiday rental and for private functions. It is set in 50 acres of private grounds nestling on a hillside in the Midi Pyrenees overlooking the Lot Valley.

Built in the 'Perigordian' style the chateau has been created over more than a decade with painstaking detail by its English sculptor, artist and writer owner. Sweeping ivy-clad balustrades and balconies together with hand made stone mullion windows provide panoramic views of the grounds and the stunning countryside of the Lot Valley beyond - a marvellous location for a self catering holiday.

Whilst inside panelled walls, carved staircases, candelabra, antiques and works of art create the ambience of a bygone age.

A unique feature is the Cellar Wine Bar stocked with over 1,000 bottles of a variety of the local Lot Valley wines, which can be enjoyed in the bar itself or provide the perfect complement to any meal.

The huge solar heated pool and dome covered Jacuzzi, surrounded by terraces decorated in summer with cascading flowers, provides the perfect daytime retreat which at night, is transformed into the most romantic setting imaginable as its stunning green light illuminates the chateau which can be seen for miles around the Lot Valley.

Whilst created principally as a private residence Chateau Joncasses affords the ideal venue for a variety of special occasions.

Its idyllic, secluded position, fairy tale appearance together with the specially created Camelot Tower room with its round bed, soft lighting and music system provide a uniquely romantic setting for weddings or honeymoons.

In addition, it has extensive indoor sports facilities that include a pool table, table top football, two table tennis tables, badminton, basket ball, darts, together with a full keep fit area, with cycle, walking and rowing machines. Outside there is a 5-a-side football pitch ensuring that the chateau is the wonderful self-catering holiday destination for adults and children alike.

There are also mountain bikes so you can explore the picturesque Lot Valley, and target golf with six flags. Distances range from around 100 to 170 metres. Ideal for the serious golfer to hone his short game but also great fun for all the members of the family.

The chateau can be rented on a self catering basis or, for the ultimate, luxury holiday why not choose our fully inclusive package. In addition to the exclusive use of the chateau and its facilities we will provide a champagne reception on arrival followed by a buffet style evening meal. Every day, a continental breakfast, buffet lunch, afternoon tea (with locally produced pastries), a three course dinner featuring regional cuisine and including wine (served in our salon or on the covered terrace) and, on your final evening a four course candlelit dinner with live music.
